The active optical cable (AOC) of the series Equip 11943x is a wiring technology that accepts the same electrical inputs as a traditional copper cable, but uses optical fiber between connectors to extend HDMI signals without loss or latency. Our hybrid cable design consists of optical fibers and copper wires. High-speed TMDS signals are transmitted through multimodal optical fibres, while low frequency control signals are transmitted through copper wires. The range of active optical cables offers up to 100 m away without a decrease in signal quality or the need for a separate power supply.
