The active optical cable (AOC) Series Equip 11943X is a wiring technology that accepts the same electrical inputs of a traditional copper cable, but uses the optical fiber between the connectors to extend HDMI signals without loss or latency. Our hybrid cable project consists of optical fibers and copper wires. High-speed TMDS signals are transmitted through multimodal optical fibers, while low-frequency control signals are transmitted through copper wires. The range of active optical cables offers up to 100 m away without a decrease in signal quality or the need for a separate power supply.
